Owen’s Barn is split into two self contained units, The Main Barn and The Stable.

Main Barn

The lounge has an impressive high ceiling with a hand crafted wooden staircase leading to the balcony. There are double doors opening out to a pretty private patio area complete with mosaic table and chairs. The room is well furnished with woodblock flooring, rug, a green leather suite, colour television with freeview, dvd, stereo, coffee table, dresser and occasional furniture. The stairs to the balcony are quite steep and lead up to the sleeping area with a 3ft bed, rugs, side cabinet, lamp, blanket box and small two-drawer wardrobe. Steps lead down from the living room into the kitchen/diner that is well equipped with pine table and chairs, washing machine, dishwasher, gas cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and tv/dvd combi. There is a fully equipped kitchen with ample units above and below. The kitchen / diner is divided by a peninsular unit. Off the entrance hall there is downstairs cloakroom with toilet and wash-hand basin. There is also an interconnecting door which is lockable from both sides to The Stable accommodation for two people. The wooden staircase leads to the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. There is a single and a double bed room with handmade fitted wooden wardrobes and drawers, low beams and velux windows sympathetically  decorated and furnished. The bathroom has a white suite with a shower over the bath and bathroom cabinet.

Owen’s Barn has many features however it should be noted that due to velux windows and high balcony bedroom the property is not suitable for children under 7 years of age. Also as a period property the beams and ceilings are quite low in the upstairs bedrooms.

The Stable

The Stable is a 1 bedroom converted Stable with a large galleried sleeping area over the lounge/kitchenette. It will give comfortable accommodation for two people. There is an interconnecting door to the larger Owens Barn with accommodation that sleeps 4. This door can be locked from both sides when used as separate accommodation. Alternatively the two units can be booked together to provide accommodation for six people. On the ground floor there is a stable door leading into the lounge/kitchenette. It has a tiled floor with a large rug. The kitchenette has wooden painted units, a sink with mains and an electric water heater, a refrigerator (with freezer compartment), 2 ring electric hob with small oven below, and a microwave. The living area has a 2-seater sofa bed, dining table and chairs and a wall mounted portable TV/DVD with Freeview.
A handcrafted staircase leads up to the galleried sleeping area. This is a large area with an en suite shower room having a wash hand basin, WC and heated handrail. (The WC area is quite narrow and may not suit all guests). The sleeping area has a king size bed, pine bedside tables, dressing table, chest of drawers and a wardrobe.

Change over day is generally on Saturdays. It has gas central heating. Bed linen and towels are provided and there is off street parking for 1 car [er unit. The Stable is considered to be unsuitable for children under 7.
